Hawn will clean your ducts of dangerous contaminants like bacteria, mold, pollen, dust mites and more.

Why Duct Cleaning?

The ducts in your home are responsible for your family's health all year long, delivering cool air or warm air and humidity to every room in your home. Airborne contaminants are drawn into your duct system every time your furnace or air conditioner runs. These contaminants collect in the ducts of your home and directly effect the quality of your indoor air.

Dirty Ducts often contain the following contaminants:

  • Dust

  • Dirt

  • Pollen

  • Insect parts

  • Animal dander

  • Cigarette smoke

These contaminants collect inside your ductwork and create a fertile breeding ground for:

  • Bacteria

  • Mold spores

  • Dust mites

  • Fungus

  • Mildew, and other microbes

A contaminated duct system puts family members with respiratory aliments such as asthma and allergies especially at risk.

“50% of all illnesses are either caused by, or aggravated by, polluted indoor air.”
American College of Allergists

Most of these unhealthy contaminants are microscopic and therefore can not be captured by traditional fiberglass filters. The Hawn Duct Cleaning Process utilizes superior HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Arrestor) filtering which captures 99.97% of harmful particulates. It captures contaminants 1/300th the diameter of a human hair and returns filtered “hospital grade” air to your home.

How the Process Works

A high powered vacuum and specially designed air compressor tools go straight to the source of contamination. The HEPA vacuum unit is attached directly to the duct system at the furnace which allows the most efficient and cleanest way to remove contaminants.

It's as easy as 1, 2, 3

  1. The high powered state-of-the-art vacuum is connected directly to the duct system near the furnace.

  2. Access holes are drilled into the air ducts through which air hose equipped with 360 degree high velocity nozzles are snaked throughout the entire duct system. These hoses are then connected to a compressor which forces loose all debris accumulatd on the interior duct surfaces.

  3. The powerful vacuum captures all the contaminates forced loose by the high velocity air hoses. All duct holes are then resealed and contaminates taken away, leaving your ducts like new!

Here's a couple of ideas to prevent future contamination:

Have Hawn's duct cleaning technicians apply a Sanitizing Spray to Disinfect and Decontaminate your newly cleaned system. Install one of the new high efficiency air cleaning systems available through Hawn.
